Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the Big Brother's 22nd season which premiered on CBS August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as the moderator and one of the original hosts of The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Her real passion came when she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. She also won an Emmy as a host of an outstanding entertainment talk program. The Talk examines contemporary events, through the lens of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news show The Early Show for a 10 years. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. After 9/11 the news anchor was sent to Cairo and found the hijacker's lead father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves's interview subjects include journalists such as former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) as well as celebrities such as Denzel Washington. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). In her final year of University, she served as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news channel). As a desk assistant, she worked in ABC News' Nightline program alongside Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning program Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
